Keith Code, California Superbike School
Keith started riding in the dark ages of motorcycling, the 1950’s. He first raced in the 60’s at age 16, again in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. He went to design school; was a photographer; designed and manufactured shoes for the stars; sold pretzels on the street; was a full on drug addict in the 60’s; cleaned up with Dianetics; became a writer, inventor and dedicated himself to understanding and teaching the art of riding motorcycles. He was the first person to put words to roadracing and riding, and his research continues today.
Brandon Robinson, AMA Pro Flat Track – USC Racing, Hot-Shot Motorworks, James Stevens Racing
Currently injured, Robinson had a career best season in 2013. Brandon Robinson returns to the AMA Pro Flat Track series with a similar but different program for 2014. Robinson will be on Kawasaki 650’s and Kawasaki 450’s again next season tuned by James Hart with support from USC Racing, Hot-Shot Motorworks and James Stevens Racing. In 2013 Robinson got on everyone’s radar as he finished 3rd in series points and claimed three victories during the season – one at Daytona Short Track and back-to-back Springfield Miles in the fall. He picked up podiums at the Sacramento Mile, Colonial Downs Mile, and the Indy Mile.
Zach Osborne, 250 Supercross – Geico Honda Team
Osborne is off to a solid start to the 2014 Supercross season picking up his second podium in two weeks. This past weekend in Phoenix Osborne was once again battling with Dean Wilson for third place. He finished the 2013 Lucas Oil Outdoor season in 5th overall and then raced in the ISDE race where he won the E1 class. His team finished second in the World Trophy class. Osborne is also the owner of Club MX in South Carolina.
Aaron Plessinger, Arenacross – Yamaha/Yamalube/Rockstar
Aaron made history by becoming the first Ricky Carmichael’s Road to Supercross competitor to ever take an overall victory. On Friday he went 1-3 to put him 3rd overall and on Saturday he took the overall with a 4-1. The Ricky Carmichael Road to Supercross program in the AMSOIL Arenacross series is the official feeder system of Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Aaron is on his way to earn enough points to be eligible for the 2015 Supercross series. He plans to race all the amateur nationals this summer including Loretta’s and then turn pro the following week in Unadilla. Plessinger is the son of Scott Plessinger, the three-time champion in the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series.
Ryan Sipes, GNCC XC1 – WMR Performance/KTM/Rockstar
One of the more noticeable names that’s missing from Supercross this year is Ryan Sipes. He made the announcement towards the end of last year that he would no longer be a full time Supercross/Motocross professional. Then we saw him compete at the International Six Day Enduro, a totally different format than what he’s made a living doing, and he had some promising finishes. He ended up 1st in Club Division two, 4th overall in Club Division, and 2nd Team Overall Club Division.
Now he’s set his sights on competing in the GNCC in the XC1 class with the support of WMR Performance, Factory KTM, and Rockstar Energy. The series starts March 8th in Bunnell, Florida.
