GNCC Series held the Wiseco John Penton event in Millfield, Ohio and Strang was on the podium in second place. This was his first podium finish of the season. He also won the $250 All Balls Racing Holeshot Award. A week earlier, Strang was back to his winning ways at the Lake Sugar Tree Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro race event in Axton, Virginia. After 12 tests and two days of racing, Strang took the overall win by 17 seconds second place rider, Layne Micheal. This was his first win Kenda Full Gas Sprint in over two years. His last win was on August 16, 2016 at the Rockcrusher Sprint Enduro in Young Harris, Georgia. Strang has been changing things up lately and the results seem to show that the changes are helping.
